Business Analyst
Analysis: Create query in SQL, pull data as needed to solve business issues. Work with MS Excel spreadsheet to do complex analysis. Set up Access database to perform certain type of analysis.
Data warehouse: Analyze the pros and cons of the current data warehouse. Design an improved data warehouse structure suitable for business needs. Ascertain that the data warehouse works well with the application development vendor and the server vendor process and technology.
IT Support: provide on-site day-to-day support for IT related issues for Star Casualty employees and agents. This includes systems and application related issues; IT help desk support for users; Company document retention policy, disaster recovery planning and risk management strategy. Write code that enhances the policy management software using HTML, Javascript, and CFML.
Web portal support: Support the proper functioning of, and updates to, the web portal.
Master’s or foreign equivalent in Information System, Management or related field AND Coursework or certification in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Business Process Design required.
